Who Operates Witnessed

Information We Collect

Witnessed may collect account information, game attendance entries, social relationships and invitations, notification events and read status, app usage information, feedback, support messages, and information users choose to add to their sports memories. If a user provides a phone number, Witnessed uses it for verification, account security, and account or contact matching features.

SMS and Phone Numbers

Witnessed Labs LLC uses phone numbers only for account verification, account security, and account or contact matching confirmations requested by users. Witnessed Labs LLC does not sell phone numbers and does not use SMS for marketing or promotional campaigns.

Users can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate Witnessed, provide account access, protect accounts, support users, improve app reliability, and maintain records users create in the app.

Safety Reports and Retention

Structured safety reports may retain opaque reporter and reported-account identifiers, whether a profile or post was reported, an opaque post reference when applicable, the report category, status, and timestamps for up to two years after account deletion. Safety reports do not include a free-text report body.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Witnessed, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, messaging, and support providers, only as needed to provide the service.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

Independent Product

Witnessed Labs is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball, MLB Advanced Media, any MLB club, or any player association. Team and player names are used for identification and informational purposes only.

Witnessed is also not affiliated with or sponsored by the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, NCAA, Premier League, La Liga, their teams, clubs, schools, venues, or data providers.
